About Will and Clayton's Bogus Adventure

Will Rappaport, known in the music world as Goodwill, has decided to part ways with the Gran Manzana, the Big Apple, the marvelous New York. The balmy weather, beautiful women, and constant budget crises of California now beckon, as do the promising prospects of the Los Angeles music world that we all hope will one day bring Goodwill fame and fortune.

To reach LA, Will has packed up the Honda Odyssey (pka Moby Dick) bequeathed to him by his parents, recruited his most trusted confidant and cousin, Clayton, and set out via our illustrious nation's parkways, turnpikes, and interstates on a journey destined to be studied, picked apart and critiqued for generations to come.

With this blog, we will share our experience --the cities and towns we pass through, the foods and drinks we consume, the curiosities we stumble upon-- as well as photos, updates and a daily poem.

We hope you enjoy.

Outside of State College, PA

Bucolic scenery in Central Pennsylvania. Will said, with a lisp, " It takes me to a place."

First beer in Pittsburgh

We've reached our first destination and we're feeling a bit worn out.

What better energizer than a cold beer?

Hence, our first stop in Pittsburgh is a local hangout in the Shadyside neighborhood called Bites and Brews.

Those are Troegs Sunshine Pils we're holding, from a Harrisburg brewery.

One final slice

Before we hit the road, we grabbed a slice from Famiglia on 96th and Amsterdam.

Some NYers may question our choice in pizza, especially in light of Jon Stewart's roasting of Donald Trump for choosing the chain for a meeting with Sarah Palin, but they offer a tasty slice and it was convenient for us. Besides, pizza snobs may turn up their nose, but working class NYers love the place.

15 E. 117th Street Farewell

After approximately 6 years, Goodwill leaves behind the Harlem/ Spanish Harlem apartment in which he lived and operated a music studio.

This location is also dear to me as I called it home for 2 years as Will's roommate.

We leave behind many fond memories, from house parties to backyard BBQs, as well as our friends: the Mendozas, Odalis and Jojo.

Filled to the brim

Moby Dick has reached her capacity and we are ready to make tracks.
