Today it occurred to us that we should share some of the music that has made the long drives bearable.
In general, good road trip music is up-tempo, hype music to which one can easily zone out or go nuts and dance interpretively. The latter is especially fun when passing other cars, so they may witness the shenanigans taking place in the front two seats of Moby Dick.
The first song represents the song that carried us from NYC to Kansas City, where we finally were able to make some new mixes.
This song, plain and simple, is just bursting with energy. It's hype and will encourage lead-foot driving.
Road Trip Anthem
On another note, Boulevard Wheat was so darn good, we crossed the street after eating Oklahoma Joe's and picked up a 12-pack. What better for a long road trip than some heavenly road sodas?

I don't see my anthem comment published. I would likely roll out to Bonobo and LTJ Bukum. I would also probably get hyphie to a pandora dunstep station.
ReplyDelete...make that dubstep...stupid auto correct...
ReplyDeleteNot too familiar with Bukem and I've never heard of Bonobo, but I'll check them out.
ReplyDeleteAnd what's dubstep, exactly? I've heard of it, but haven't a clue.
