On The Road Again

Forgive me for the late post today, but I write this post as we cruise along Interstate 40 somewhere in the Texas Panhandle area. Amarillo is about 60 miles in front of us and I can see how the city got its name, as the fields in the surrounding area are parched wastelands without a hint of green grass.

Anyhow, Will and I had a splendid final night in Tulsa, as our hosts, Greg and Alicia, took us out on the town.

The place to be on a Wednesday night was McNellie's Public House, which entices the young crowd with a three dollar burger special. Naturally, the four of us took advantage of the deal, and ordered a round of beers to accompany the chow. As anyone who knows Will can attest, one drink will lead to five, and five will lead to rounds of shots. Rowdiness ensued.

Although in the professional sporting world, all that booze may be an impediment, it brought out the competitive edge in all of us as we headed upstairs for darts and pool. There were moments of glory, some major bungles, and of course, heated arguments and exchanges of death threats.

It was a fine and memorable cap to our stay in Tulsa and we must thank Greg, Alicia and their gorgeous little daughter, Eva, for allowing us to crash in their lovely little suburban home.

PS- Thank you to Harry Shillingford for diligently following our exploits and getting on my case today for the lack of posts.

Our mode of transportation in Tulsa. I rode in the back.

Blah, blah, blah.

We won't say whose is whose.

Ahem.

Will with the beautiful Eva.
PPS- During the posting of this message, we were involved in quite an event, but our readers will just have to stay tuned for tomorrow's update.
